I’ve got a few things bubbling away at the moment. I’m designing a logo, running a workshop in a couple of weeks, planning and curating an exhibition in June and there is one more thing in the very early stages that I won’t mention as I don’t want to jinx it!
I have been really slack in updating this! My summer was mega busy with my first solo exhibition in July followed by Hampshire Open studios in August. I told 9 paintings over those 2 months which meant I was over the moon. Since August I have had a break from painting and have even done less art journaling. I’m sure now the days are shorter I will be back in a creative phase soon.
Here are some photos from the summer:
Today I had a meeting with Beth from Sticks Gallery to discuss the details of the workshop I will be running there in May. It will be an Art Journaling Workshop for young people between 13 and 17 years old who have been affected by mental health issues. I am really looking forward to this experience.
Recently I ordered some new products from Moo. Along with a fresh batch of business cards I also ordered some postcards. I am so pleased with how they came out. The colours are pretty accurate and they really capture the mood of my work, don’t you think?
I have been so busy this summer with various projects, it has been a hectic but exciting time!
I have been exhibiting as part of the unit11studios Summer Salon 2016 show which runs from May – September this year. We also took part in Hampshire Open Studios in August which was great fun. over the weekend we had around 30 visitors and I sold 6 postcards and 4 paintings so I was very happy.
Thursday was my last day at my ‘proper’ job!! I’m so excited to be able to spend a bit more time on my own projects over the summer. I’m designing some more workshops at the moment which is fun.
I’m drawing up plans for my next few workshops over the summer. Exciting! I can’t wait to share them with you. Here is a taster of what I was sharing at the last workshop…..
My mini business cards from Moo have arrived this week.
I’m really pleased with them! I chose ten different pieces of work to feature on the cards.
Which one is your favourite?
